Alessa Kutten-Cottrell, MS, CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist
Alessa works part-time for SF Speech for Kids providing a combination of in-person and online sessions. Alessa Kutten received a Bachelors in Art History from the University of British Columbia in 2007. After working for many years at Marin Primary & Middle School in Larkspur, CA, as both a junior-kindergarten and toddler teacher, she decided to pursue a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology. This enabled her to continue to work with children, just on a more individualized basis. Alessa graduated in 2018 from the online program through California State University, Northridge. Placements during grad school included the Scottish Rite Center in Oakland, Language Essentials, San Ramon, and the Bay Area Speech Studio, San Francisco. In her free time, Alessa enjoys practicing yoga, and has 500 hours of teacher training completed. In addition, she loves going on long urban hikes/walks and discovering new places around the city. Alessa enjoys being a team member with children and their families and the ability to be part of a team environment with the ability to collaborate among the fellow therapists at SF Speech for Kids!
