We have news to share!
SF Speech for Kids has downsized to a small office at 3514 Geary Blvd (near Stanyan) with Kat Takikawa as the lead SLP in San Francisco. The rest of the team is working part-time in SF or remotely serving children via Zoom.
The large office on Taraval Street closed on June 1, 2022.

The pandemic launched us into the virtual world of teletherapy and we are now offering it as ongoing service in addition to office-based sessions.
We are in-network with all Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO and most EPO plans, Health Net PPO, and have contracts to provide services through Kaiser and the Golden Gate Regional Center.
We work with children from ages 1 to 18. Let us know how we can help!
Speech & Language Evaluations
If you are concerned about your child's speech or language development, call for a consultation to determine what type of evaluation will be most appropriate for your child. Evaluations are often covered by insurance and we direct-bill several plans: Blue Cross and Blue Shield PPO and EPO plans, Health Net PPO and Kaiser with an authorization for services. We are also vendored wtih Golden Gate Regional Center (GGRC).
Speech & Language Therapy
We provide individualized speech and language therapy services for children of all ages. Our team's skill set is diverse and we are able to treat a range of delays and disorders, such as: speech sound disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, apraxia, auditory processing disorder, fluency disorders, autism, genetic syndromes, developmental delays, and we also work with nonverbal and minimally verbal children. Therapy is primarily 1:1 and some group therapy opportunities are available.
Speech & Language Screenings
Speech and language screenings are available both in the office and at your child's school. A typical screening lasts 15-30 minutes and the purpose of a screening is to determine if further assessment is needed. Contact us for more information about how to set up a screening for your child or for a group of children at a daycare or school.
Get in Touch
We are a small office with part-time admin staff, and Kim Christensen fields most of the intake calls between therapy sessions. The odds are good that you'll reach the voice mail. Leave a message with good times to reach you and Kim will get back to you shortly. Emails are welcomed and often answered outside of business hours. We look forward to hearing from you!
